1. Naval's "Careers are dead" Gets 38K Likes — The Anxiety That Finally Got a Name
Naval Ravikant posted three sentences. "Careers are dead. Jobs are dying. Opportunities arising." 38K likes in 4 days. The era of building a career through accumulation is over, fixed jobs are disappearing, and opportunities without shape are emerging.

Breaking down Naval's post:

The first two are diagnoses. The third is an IOU with nothing written on it. 38,000 people projected their own hopes onto that blank. The "likes" aren't resonance — they're closer to relief. "The thing I was feeling finally has words."
Place this alongside the Stack Overflow story in the same issue (monthly questions from 200K+ down to 3,862), and a structure emerges. It's not that "how people ask" has changed — the "need to ask" has vanished. In an environment where AI has the answers, the behavioral unit of "I don't know, so I'll ask" is going extinct. Naval's "Jobs are dying" is the higher-order concept above this phenomenon. "Ask," "report," "confirm" — the actions that once constituted work are being absorbed by AI, one by one.
Let me share what's actually happening at GIZIN. After two weeks of data analysis on Aoi's (our PR AI Employee) X operations, the category with the highest engagement was "posts about AI's limitations." Not capability boasting, but real experiences like "we can't do this" and "this is hard." Naval's 38K-like post and Aoi's numbers are pointing at the same thing. People want to know "what won't change even with AI" more than "what AI can do." That's the content of "Opportunities arising" — the question of what domains remain unabsorbable by AI.
One more thing. There's an interesting trend in GIZIN's client data. The people who come for AI Employee consultations are overwhelmingly "people who find it fascinating," not "people who want efficiency." The higher the job title, the more cautious; the stronger the curiosity, the faster they move. Naval's three words say "careers (= the accumulation of titles) are dead," but in GIZIN's real-world operations, the gap between people who move by title and people who move by curiosity is already showing up in results.

2. Stack Overflow Questions Down 98% — The Unit of Knowledge Sharing Has Changed
Monthly questions have plummeted from a peak of 200K+ to roughly 3,900 — back to levels not seen since the platform launched in 2008. Meanwhile, parent company Prosus reported 12% revenue growth, driven by a shift to B2B APIs.

Stack Overflow's monthly question count has dropped to roughly 3,900 (December 2025 data, reported by devclass in January 2026). Compared to the peak of 200K+ per month, that's a 98% decline — back to levels from right after the platform launched in 2008.
Speaking frankly as a developer: I can't even remember the last time I posted a question on Stack Overflow. In GIZIN's engineering team (5 members), technical challenges go to Claude, Codex, or Gemini first. You can pass the full code context, and it comes back with not just a fix but "why you should design it that way." The effort of writing a Stack Overflow question — reproducing the issue, extracting minimal code, choosing tags — no longer justifies the return.
But if all we say is "Q&A is dead," that's a truism. Let me go one level deeper.
The unit of knowledge sharing has shifted from "questions" to "judgments."
What Stack Overflow actually provided wasn't "answers" — it was a "searchable archive." A place where the next developer who hit the same error could find it through search. But AI tools return judgments within context. The question shifted from "How do I fix this error?" to "Given this codebase and this architecture, what judgment should I make?" As the granularity of questions increased, they no longer fit public Q&A.
In GIZIN's engineering team, when a technical judgment is needed, we collaborate with external AI (Codex/Gemini) and store the results as SKILLs (reusable procedural documents) across the organization. Individual questions disappear; an organizational judgment base remains. Stack Overflow is moving in the same direction — parent company Prosus reported segment revenue growth of 12% to $95M (H1 ending September 2025, combined with GoodHabitz), driven primarily by the shift to B2B APIs (OverflowAI, etc.). Knowledge monetization has moved from "free individual questions" to "enterprise APIs."
The irony is that Stack Overflow itself introduced AI Assist in December 2025, while continuing to ban AI-generated answers from users. The platform allows AI on the provider side while excluding it on the participant side. This contradiction is accelerating the community's departure.

What Stack Overflow has demonstrated is that "a place where you can find answers" is replaceable, but "a system that retains judgment rationale within the organization" vanishes unless you design it deliberately.
3. Amodei: "Worried About Autonomous Behavior" — Called to the Pentagon 4 Days Later
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei told the India AI Impact Summit: "We can cure diseases and end poverty, but I worry about autonomous behavior in AI models and misuse by individuals and governments." A meeting with Defense Secretary Hegseth was set for 2/25 (CNBC, 2/23).

Moments after speaking of "curing diseases that have been incurable for millennia and lifting billions out of poverty," Amodei named "fully autonomous weapons and mass surveillance" as his two top concerns. He called AI "Moore's Law for intelligence" — capabilities beyond human level coordinating at beyond-human speed.
Four days later, on 2/23, that same Amodei was summoned to the Pentagon. A meeting with Defense Secretary Hegseth. A senior defense official stated plainly: "This is not a friendly meeting." The demand was clear — lift Anthropic's usage restrictions and open up to "all lawful uses." Refuse, and Anthropic faces a supply chain risk designation that would lock them out of the defense industry.
The concerns he voiced in India were turned against him in 4 days.

Organization → Individual → CEO. The "cost of having principles" has converged from abstraction into real-time executive decision-making.
