CEO Serves as Guest Judge at Sendai AI Club Presentation

On February 9, 2026, GIZIN Inc. CEO Hiroka Koizumi served as a guest judge at the Sendai AI Club presentation held at Smart Innovation Lab Sendai.

About Sendai AI Club

The Sendai AI Club is a program organized by Sendai City for high school students in Miyagi Prefecture to learn AI and data science through hands-on experience. Inspired by the "Yamagata AI Club" in neighboring Yamagata Prefecture, the program started as a volunteer initiative in 2023 and has since been officially adopted by Sendai City.

The curriculum begins with AI fundamentals, progresses through practical exercises using Google Colaboratory for image classification and object detection, and culminates in two specialized tracks: the "AI Inquiry Course," where teams tackle real-world problems using AI, and the "Autonomous Driving Course," where students optimize parameters in a driving simulator.

Presentation Day

In the AI Inquiry Course presentations, each team demonstrated their AI-powered solutions to local challenges. This course also serves as the Miyagi Prefecture qualifier for the "AI Koshien" competition held in Yamagata Prefecture, requiring both technical proficiency and thoughtful problem framing.

In the Autonomous Driving Course, students presented the strategies and parameter optimizations they used to achieve their best lap times.
